Variables help us translate words consistently, like the names of the books of the Scriptures or terms in the Bible dictionary. They should be used in the English text whenever possible to make easier the work of translating. Translators can then simply copy them from the English text into their own and the word will be automatically translated.

Variables look like: {{SCRIPTURE:Genesis 1:25-26}}, {{BD:Gospel}}, and {{TG:Priesthood}}. They are automatically translated according to the database and are converted to a hyperlink. Don't want a hyperlink? Use {{BD:Church{nolink}}} instead. Administrators can select a category above and click on the translations below to edit the variable translation. All others can use this page as a reference to know which variables are available and have an associated translation. Email your language administrator to add or change variable translations in your language.
